Hello Quail Community! My name is Juan Cardenas and I am glad to continue as your Principal for another year in 2024-2025.

I want to say that here at Wooldridge Elementary we are all very excited to continue growing and learning together.

I joined the A.P. Wooldridge team in the year 2022-2023 after working in other schools and districts in Texas in different capacities such as teacher, instructional coach, and administrator. I have always enjoyed teaching in schools where multilingual and multicultural learners are welcome and nurtured. I see that is the case here at Wooldridge. As an immigrant and bilingual learner, I truly believe multicultural education has to be available and encouraged to all students and families.

I was born and raised in Colombia, then moved to the United States in 2001. I enjoy all forms of soccer and traveling back home to visit my family.

I am very excited to work with this talented staff and such engaged families. I can easily see how this school is really committed to provide all students with the best learning opportunities. I commit to create meaningful relationships with the educators, families and students at Wooldridge. I hope together we can take advantage of all the growth opportunities this school year will provide for all of us.. 

¡Hola codornices! Mi nombre es Juan Cárdenas y me complace continuar como su director por un año más en 2024-2025.

Quiero decir que aquí en Wooldridge Elementary estamos todos muy emocionados de seguir creciendo y aprendiendo juntos.

Me uní al equipo de A.P. Wooldridge en el año 2022-2023 después de trabajar en otras escuelas y distritos de Texas en diferentes capacidades, como maestro, capacitador instructivo y administrador. Siempre me ha gustado enseñar en escuelas donde los estudiantes multilingües y multiculturales son bienvenidos e incentivados. Yo puedo ver que ese es el caso aquí en Wooldridge. Como inmigrante y aprendiz bilingüe creo fuertemente en que la educación multicultural debe ser fomentada y tiene que estar disponible para todos los estudiantes y sus familias.

Nací y crecí en Colombia, luego me mudé a los Estados Unidos en 2001. Disfruto todas las formas de fútbol y regresar a casa cuando pueda a visitar a  mi familia.

Estoy muy emocionado de trabajar con este talentoso personal y familias tan comprometidas. Puedo ver fácilmente cómo esta escuela está realmente comprometida a brindarles a todos los estudiantes las mejores oportunidades de aprendizaje. Me comprometo a crear relaciones significativas con los educadores, las familias y los estudiantes de Wooldridge. Espero que juntos podamos aprovechar  las oportunidades de crecimiento que este año escolar nos brindará a todos.
